Sorry people, but this weeks chapter is going to have to wait, once again. Maybe even next one...
I've just started my vacation, so I'm enjoying doing nothing. My writing as suffered as a result. It should pick up in a couple of weeks though.
Not to leave you hanging, here's a small preview of some stories that I am also working on.
Brave New World - The Earth is on the edge of ecological collapse. Thanks to new technological breakthroughs, world governments scramble to send out colony ships in all directions. This story follows one young man, and his family, as they set out on one of those ships. Unfortunately, their ship finds itself in a region of space already occupied with several alien species, most more technologically advanced. The humans are offered a piece of territory on a frontier planet, already being colonized by a few other refugee races.
Dead and Back - A young aspiring journalist is beaten to death. Only he doesn't stay dead, coming back as a vampire. He doesn't remember why he was killed, or who did it, neither does he understand how he became one of the undead. The story will follow him solving his own murder and adapting to his new unlife. Its inspired by P.N. Elrods Vampire Files series.
Life With the O'Connells (working title) - Jake Brooks has been lived next door to the O'Connells since he was a child, and ever since then, he has been infatuated and in love with their daughter Liz. Unfortunately, she has grown up to be a sullen and rebellious teenager who completely ignores him. On the other hand, Mrs. Bridgette O'Connell, her mother, is feeling neglected by her husband and as always liked him...
And now, the encouragement of Courage Wolf.

My Second Life Chapter Four
A new unedited chapter for My Second Life will be posted either today or tomorrow. Enjoy!
Edit - Thanks to Gábor from Hungary for the information about breastfeeding in primitive societies.
Though my editor, Diana Hall, has been doing a great job, I am looking for anyone else who is willing to look over my work. Not just new chapter, but also edit and give opinions on the overall story. So, if anybody is interested and has the time, contact me either here in the comments, or through my StoriesOnline page.
On a side note, a friend recommended a new comic to me this weekend, called Atomic-Robo. The main character, Atomic-Robo is a wisecracking robot possessing "automatic intelligence", created by Nicola Tesla in 1923. He is a core member of Tesladyne Industries, "a think-tank dedicated to exploring the fringes of scientific inquiry", whose Action Scientists often respond to paranormal and supernatural emergencies.
The several issues follow his life and adventures through the years as he fights in two World Wars, a legion of soviet robots, a cthulu type horror from beyond time and space, travels to Mars, fights off an invasion from a vampire dimension, and much more.
If you are so inclined, please check it out. Here is a small preview of Atomic-Robo against Dr. Dinosaur.

Stronghold Chapter 4
An unedited version of Stronghold's chapter 4 should be up tomorrow. My Second Life's chapter 4 is about half done.
I've just finished reading Jim Butcher's new Dresden Files novel, Ghost Story. It was fantastic.
Forget whiny Potter, Gandalf can't hold a candle to his sheer badassery, even the legendary Merlin is boring compared to the great wizard Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden.
Just to prove my point, here he his riding a zombie T-Rex through Chicago, on his way to interrupt a war between necromancers.

Chapter a Week
This whole "posting a chapter a week" thing doesn't seem to be working. Its tough, I'm telling you. From now on I'm shooting for every other week.
Don't worry, I am still writing. Chapters for My Second Life and Stronghold are in the works, as well as a few other stories.
And now, beware the Insanity Wolf.

The Geek Gets Freaky
This week I've posted something different.
Don't worry, Stronghold and My Second Life are still in progress. I'll get to them later.
The story is a parody/fan-fic of the TV show Freaks and Geeks. Unlike my other work, it's low on plot and high on sex. It also happens to be my first sex scene, so please be kind. Constructive criticism is always appreciated.
Finally, the life of Foul Bachelor Frog.

Center the AI
Apparently there are one or two people that didn't understand the "Center" reference in My Second Life.
Center is an AI in the Raj Whitehall or General series by David Drake and S.M. Stirling tasked with rebuilding civilization on the planet Bellevue, after the collapse of a large galactic civilization. To do so, he chooses a young military officer, Raj Whitehall, to be his instrument of change. Together they take the first steps to pacifying the fragmented and warring nations to better foment more technologically advanced civilizations, in order to eventually reestablish the collapsed interplanetary federation.
For more information check out this wiki page.
Its a great series, and I recommend it to everyone.
